Consider This Truth:
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God...” — (Galatians 2:20, emphasis mine KJV 1900)
Agent:“No one who is born of God distrust God, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot distrusts himself, because he is born of God.” — (1 John 3:9, DLC)

Goal:“that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.” — (John 17:21–23, emphasis mine NASB95)
|
Action:“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” — (John 15:4–5, emphasis mine NASB95)

Conclusion:As a lamp shines by the ability of the energy source within, we, too, shine by the abilities of the Holy Spirit through our active dependence on Jesus. Trusting in Jesus is the milk of the word. We are called to place our trust in Christ for everything, recognizing that we can realize the love of God as His very Person. This unity is transforming us as we abide in Christ. Therefore, it is suitable for us to remain in Him, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to shine His light in the world.
