The same Greek word (πιστισ) is translated as faith, belief, and trust. Here are those in the book of 1 John. NASB95 used as a reference

1 John 3:23: This is His commandment, that we πιστεύω (trust) in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.

1 John 4:1: Beloved, do not πιστεύω (trust) every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

1 John 4:16: We have come to know and have πιστεύω (trust) the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

1 John 5:1: Whoever πιστεύω (trust) that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.

1 John 5:4:  For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our πίστις.

1 John 5:5: Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who πιστεύω (trust) that Jesus is the Son of God?

1 John 5:10: The one who πιστεύω (trust) in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not πιστεύω (trust) God has made Him a liar, because he has not πιστεύω (trust) in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son.

1 John 5:13: These things I have written to you who πιστεύω (trust) in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
