Aleph (אָלֶף) – א – Silent letter (vowels give sound)
  • אַהֲבָה (a-ha-vah) — love
  • אָדָם (a-dam) — person, man
  • אֱמֶת (e-met) — truth
  • אוֹר (or) — light
  • אָב (av) — father
Bet (בֵּית) – ב/בּ – b as in boy (with dot) / v as in voice (without dot)
  • בֵּן (ben) — son
  • בַּיִת (ba-yit) — house
  • בְּרִית (be-rit) — covenant, testament
  • בָּשָׂר (ba-sar) — flesh
  • בָּרַךְ (ba-rach) — to bless
Gimel (גִּימֶל) – ג – g as in go
