"My goal is God Himself, not joy, nor peace, nor even blessing, but Himself, my God." WWSJ pg 9"And he answered and said, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.'" (Luke 10:27 NASB)
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.' Philip said to Him, 'Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.' Jesus said to him, 'Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how do you say, 'Show us the Father '? 'Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.'" (John 14:6-10 NASB) |
God's Goal is YOU.
First, to humble you - then to transform you - then to live in, with, and through you as you stay humbled before Him.
(see The Gospel of John chapters 14 - 17) |
Our Goal is God
First - in the middle - and last, God is all we want. We cannot gain a higher prize than to live in His presence and fellowship with His Person. Seeing Him in our past, present, and future is both our call and our privilege in Christ Jesus our Lord.
