JESUS AS THE WAY

Who is the narrow gate and constricted road
which leads to Life?

Few are they that find Life.
(Matthew 7:14 DLT)

The gate and the road on which we travel is the Lord Jesus Himself. What we do, after we have arrived at the Gate, may be a surprise.  We keep doing what we have just done. We remain or when appropriate we return by repentance and humility to the Cross on which every human effort hangs. Those who are born of the Holy Spirit, find Life. How we travel down the Way of Life is how we first came to trust the Lord.

How about doing things for God?

It should not come as any great surprise that the One Who never sought your counsel in creating the heavens and the earth, does not need your help in finishing His desired purpose in Christ Jesus. The first lesson, our total ineptitude to replace our need for God with things and activities, is our last best lesson.

Blessings

If we seek blessings we have erred the same error as our father and mother (Adam and Eve). God has no higher goal for us than our seeing, and seeing, and seeing Christ His completed work for and  in mankind.

Service

We again fall  miserably short of His desired end for us when we seek service to please Him. He takes pleasure in His Son and those who abide in His Son.

Abiding is seeing, seeing, and re-seeing His Son. The sight of that Cross goes ever before us.

We walk the path of humility.

We live devoid of any type of flesh energy that tries to produce God stuff.

When we seek no other but Christ, His power produces His desired ends.
God's Pipeline

What He begins He will finish...

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
(Phillipians 1:6 NASB)
