“He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.” (Matthew 10:40)

“Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection,” (Romans 6:3–5)

How do you receive? By accepting this as true for you. “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” (Galatians 2:20) And trust this, “For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.” (Colossians 3:3–4)

Message of Encouragement

Christ is the end of the struggle. Which struggle? Any struggle to get, gain, improve, change, behave, grow, alter, expand or keep. How does that work? We don’t function correctly because we work, rather we work because we function correctly when trusting Christ.

The One working in and through us is Christ.

“For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13  

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (I have no want.) Psalm 23:1 

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 

“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1 

Jeremiah 17:7  “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

Isaiah 41:10  “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 

“Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.” 2 Corinthians 1:9     

“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
