"The first is not the spiritual, but the natural, then the spiritual." (1 Corinthians. 15:46 DLT)
What comes first?
The flesh person comes first. What comes next is the Spirit Person. This process is seen in nature. First the seed, then the flower. First the grub, then the bug. First death, then life. First Adam then the perfect Adam. First night and then light. Through our senses we begin as flesh conscious people. After innumerable processes we die to trying to fix the flesh. We rest, by faith, in the hope for the expression of the spirit person we are meant to be. Once we have been clothed, by faith, with immortality, we know Jesus Christ as Creator, not only of what is but of what is yet to be revealed The Spirit Person, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, took on flesh and blood, and through death and resurrection transformed us from living a corrupted life to living life in Christ Jesus. For those who trust Him as their life it becomes experientially true. Many believe it is true but few believe it is finished. We who believe do not see all things completed as promised, but our sight is getting better the closer we come to His desired end. In our hearts it is finished. "All have been subjected under His feet. Nothing rebellious is left. But now we do not yet see all things in subjection to Him." (Hebrews 2:8 DLT) Jesus is now at work, and has overcome the law of sin and death. Because we get to join in this process of reconciliation, we have the ability to proclaim His Truth as accomplished right now. |
So, though our flesh is perishing, we have become eternal. We have a fleshly knowing, but this is not eternal. It passes away. The eternal is the New Man Jesus the Christ. Knowing He shares with us, wanting His wanting, doing His doing, loving His equally loving others. We can begin to live that new spirit living while experiencing this decaying body.
We have the ability to see what He is doing. Insofar as we remain with eyes fixed on Jesus in Whom we believe, we see, behold, witness, and proclaim that which we see, God. He is not an all pervasive force, but the Eternal, Intelligent, Word of All. He is the inner Life lived out. He is the One Person of Eternity. He is God's plan in Person. This Jesus is the Spiritual seeing, praising, thanking, and embracing that which the Father is doing. This is the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, to always see what the Father is doing and joining in the process. In trusting Him we will abide with Him and follow Him. If you want eternal living you must be first transformed by your death executed in Christ Jesus. Then embrace His resurrection. As you receive Holy Spirit, you are literally born of a different gene pool. You now have eyes to see and ears to hear and a heart to follow. You are now a child of God and the 'game' isn't over yet. |
