Peter's Reminder

10/29/2023

Comments

Peter's reminder: prepare your mind,
With truth, in thoughts, your spirit binds.
Escape the chains of worldly strife,
Embrace God's grace, His precious life.

Our days, like flowers, fade and flee,
Yet God's enduring Word we see.
Born anew, love pure and clear,
In His unchanging love, we have no fear.

Set apart, in holiness, we stand,
Moved by the Lord's loving hand.
In reverent awe, our hearts believe,
His grace and mercy, we receive.

Like gold, our trust is tried and true,
In Christ, we find life renewed.
Prophets of old, their hope they shared,
In Christ's love, we are ensnared.

Live as strangers in this world,
In Christ, our lives are unfurled.
Trust Him, not works or deeds,
Is God's Christ, our spirit feeds.

Christ’s love, a beacon bright,
Guiding us day and night.
In our hearts, His truth resides,
With joy and peace as our guides.

I'm Found

10/26/2023

Comments

I've longed for God since I was four,
But on August 10th, 1974, I knew for sure.
Years of searching for His love's embrace,
From belief to knowing, I found my place.

Despite doubts, I stand perfect in Him,
Doubting this love, the greatest of sins.
A transformation, dramatic and profound,
Like losing an arm, but in God, I'm found.

Fire of Love - Fire of Hell

10/26/2023

Comments

In Love's fire, we find our grace,
Fear, shame, and guilt erased.
Cleansing flames, our souls mend,
In Father's love, our hearts transcend.

For those who deny,
Love's fire makes them cry.
Unquenchable, like hell's cruel blaze,
In rejection's pain, they'll spend their days.

The Tie That Binds

10/26/2023

Comments

In love, my soul takes flight,
God's compassion, pure and bright.

Forgiving all,  my doubts He frees,
He crowns me with tender ease.

His healing touch, my strength renewed,
My youth, like eagles', is pursued.

His righteousness and justice flow,
To those who His love knows.

As far as east from west, He's kind,
His love to me, refined.

I let my soul, in praises rise,
To God, whose love, ties.

Which?

10/26/2023

Comments

In learning through obedience, we follow the rules,
But learning through love, we're inspired by jewels.
Obedience may lead us down a set path,
But love's the fire that ignites God’s creative wrath.

Through rules, we gain knowledge and insight,
But through love, our hearts take flight.
Obedience can bring order to our days,
But love's the sun, warming in countless ways.

Hear Israel

10/18/2023

Comments

Listen carefully to this message clear and bright:
The LORD is our God, the only true light.
Love God with all your heart, your soul, and your strength untold,
Embrace this truth deep in your heart's hold.

These words are sacred and divine, a guiding arch,
Let them enrich your being and never depart.
Today, tomorrow, and always, let them stay,
God's love, the and only, truest way.

If one presumes to know with ego's might,
Their knowledge lacks the humble light.
Loving God, by His grace, they're shown,
The Lord knows their heart and soul as His own.

Regarding idols, knowing the truth must unfold,
Many tales men have told.
But Father, the source of all we see,
Through Christ, our Lord, we live in unity.

God All In All

10/10/2023

Comments

In theology's depth, we find our start,
Where God's the One, set seemingly apart.
Power, Peace, and Joy in Him combine,
Christ, Way, Truth, and Life, in grand design.

"I am" His name, not "I have" to share,
"All in All," proclaimed His presence here.
Expressions vast in forms unfurl,
God, the Infinite Is-er, His essence swirls.

In His own image, man was shaped and cast,
A vessel for God's love, unsurpassed.
"I am the light," Jesus' words declared,
"Ye are the love," His truth declared.

Invisible electricity finds its home,
In lamps, the light within does roam.
"Turn on the light," we say in unity,
Reflecting God's divine, eternal beauty.

The Idol Law

10/7/2023

Comments

In seeking laws, you've strayed from your story,
Replacing God with manufactured rules so hoary.
For equity, you aim, but judge with no remorse,
Your love for judgments veers far off-course.

In endless statutes, you find your safety net,
Yet, God's laws, you forget.
Ignorance of His decrees you do despise,
Yet His divine commandments minimize.

Your arrogance closes your eyes to heavenly ways,
You trust your hands, your heart, and not the gaze.
Devoid of a mercy seat, your palms are stained and cold,
For innocent blood, your hands withhold.

The fear within corrodes your very soul,
Justifying deeds that take a heavy toll.
You cherish not the treasures of the heart,
And in your eyes, they fall apart.

With words of peace, you sow destruction's seed,
You've lost the path to God's steadfast decree.
In your pursuit of laws, you've gone astray,
May grace and peace guide you back today.

Let me repeat!

Your need for law, shame or glory,
Legal acts aim to guide from paths untold,
Yet, artificial rules now tell the story,
Replacing God, with corrosive gold.

In equity, you seek, but judge with pride,
Judgment secures your own way,
Traditions make the innocent decide,
While truth is silenced, silenced, day by day.

Thousands of laws, yet God's you can't recite,
Ignorance is no excuse, you boldly claim,
But His commands, you choose to overlook,
By your own judgment, you're to blame.

Conceit, that adjective fits,
You look not to heaven nor within,
Your hands, like some mercy seat, blood on them sits,
Your merciful heart remains so thin.

Corrosive fear justifies your deeds,
What you'd defend, as truth, has lost its worth,
You speak of peace, yet sow destructive seeds,
God unknown, His grace, His peaceful mirth.

Turn to His love, His healing, and His grace,
Let go of pride and lean into His warm embrace.

God's Clay Messages

10/7/2023

Comments

In ancient times, a chunk of wood, so raw,
Hollowed and filled, like some ancient claw.
Restored with care, its purpose rearranged,
To write with lead, a script of thoughts exchanged.

Inscribed on parchment humanities pace,
A language from the past, in a sacred space.
But clay, soft and tender, it awaits with glee,
A special piece of wood to tell love's decree.

This tale unfolds with care,
In wooden blocks and clay, a story is rare.
From ages past to the present, we roam,
Inscribing love's verses, our eternal home.

So cherish the wood, the clay's embrace,
For in their union, love finds its place.
Through cuneiform symbols or strokes that dance,
The heart's deepest passions find their chance.

Garden Green

10/6/2023

Comments

In Eden's garden, pure and green,
Adam and Eve, a loving team.
Forbidden fruit, temptation near,
A choice they made, their hearts to fear.

The serpent's whispers, deceitful art,
Doubt and desire tore them apart.
They took a bite, their eyes opened wide,
Aware from doubt, they did not hide.

But God's love, His healing grace,
Clothed them with mercy, in that sacred place.
Though they strayed, His love remained,
A promise of redemption, from doubt unchained.

Galatians 2:20

10/4/2023

Comments

In Christ I live, no longer I alone,
His love is widely known.
He has crucified person and pride,
In Christ, I abide.

Though aged and tired, my spirit's still strong,
Proclaiming Father God's love is where I belong.
He healed my heart, redeemed my soul with grace,
I'll share His love in every time and place.

He's my land; I've found my dwelling proper,
In God's love and Word, my heart renewed.
By trust, I pursue,
To reach hearts, His message is in view.

The truth is clear to see,
It's Christ who lives in me for eternity.
So, I'll continue spreading His love from above,
To touch hearts with the Father's healing love.
